At The Marsh Academy, we believe that every student should have access to the knowledge, experiences and opportunities that enable them to flourish in education, employment and life.

A Knowledge-Rich Curriculum
Our curriculum is the foundation of every student's educational journey. Through carefully sequenced learning, students develop the substantive knowledge and disciplinary understanding needed to think critically, solve problems and engage with the world around them.
Across every subject, students encounter a diverse range of people, cultures, ideas and perspectives. They study significant historical events, influential literary works, scientific discoveries, artistic movements and global issues that help them understand both Britain's place in the world and the wider human experience.
Reading, discussion and oracy are woven throughout the curriculum, enabling students to communicate confidently, appreciate different viewpoints and develop informed opinions. Our aim is not simply for students to remember knowledge, but to use it to make connections, ask questions and become thoughtful, educated citizens.
Enrichment Beyond the Classroom
Learning is enhanced through a wide-ranging programme of enrichment that complements and extends the taught curriculum.

Careers and Future Pathways
Preparing students for their future is a central part of our curriculum.
Through our careers programme, students develop an understanding of the wide range of opportunities available to them in further education, apprenticeships and employment. They learn about different career pathways, labour market information and the skills employers value.

Access for All
We believe that opportunity should never be determined by circumstance.
We are committed to ensuring that every student can access the full breadth of academy life by removing barriers to participation wherever possible. Financial support is available for eligible students to enable participation in educational visits, residential experiences and enrichment activities.
Our pastoral teams work closely with students and families to encourage participation and ensure that all young people benefit from the opportunities available. Through our Community system, student leadership programme and wider academy initiatives, every student is encouraged to contribute to school life, develop a sense of belonging and celebrate success.
We continually review our provision to ensure it is inclusive, representative and responsive to the needs of our students and community.
