Introduction:
At The Marsh Academy all staff are considered responsible for supporting the needs of students with SEND. Our staff are committed to regular, high-quality training to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills to better meet a wide range of students’ needs. Below outlines key staff who will be supporting your child. Please note that this list is not exhaustive.

Universal/Quality First Teaching
- All of our teachers receive in-house SEND training, and are supported by the SENDCO to meet the needs of students who have SEN
- High quality, inclusive classroom teaching for all pupils
- Differentiated work, clear objectives, active engagement, and supportive classroom environment
- Aims to remove barriers to learning through strong everyday practice
- Most pupils’ needs are met at this level
Targeted
- Additional, time limited, evidence based support for pupils who are underachieving but do not necessarily have SEND.
- Designed to accelerate progress so pupils can work at age related expectations.
