Admissions

September Admissions

Parents wishing to apply for a place in Year 7 starting in September will need to either apply online at online admissions or fill in a Secondary Common Application Form (SCAF) available from all Kent primary schools.

If you have not been offered a place at the Marsh Academy, the law entitles you to appeal against that decision to an Independent Appeal Panel. This panel is completely independent of the school and the Local Authority. The appeals are held at the school. Please note that some of the arrangements for appeals are different to previous years.

If you wish to appeal, please download an Appeal Form  from the school’s website.  Please do NOT use the Kent County Council form.  In addition, it is suggested that you download the explanatory leaflet about appeals. Please read this leaflet carefully.

You should include any evidence or supporting material with your appeal form and you MUST give the grounds for your appeal at the time you lodge your appeal form. Your appeal form will not be accepted unless you state the grounds for your appeal. You may appeal for more than one school.

In-Year Admissions

Parents wishing to apply to The Marsh Academy will need to complete the attached two application forms. Both forms must be returned to the The Marsh Academy and marked for the attention of the Admission Officer.
