Dress Code
This means wearing ‘suit type’ or smart trousers. Students have the option of wearing a formal dress or knee-length skirt (as a rule of thumb, sitting below the fingertips, close to the knee). These items must be accompanied by a smart and appropriate top or a collared shirt. All students must wear a blazer or suit jacket, but ties are optional.â
Acceptable footwear is formal, leather-type shoes. Body piercings and tattoos must be discreet.â
For clarity, the following items are not acceptable:â
· Large logos on clothingâ
· Jeansâ
· Shorts (unless they are knee length, tailored trouser style- in sober colours)â
· Leggings, tube skirts/dresses
· Sundresses or tops exposing the midriff/backâ
· Sweatshirts, hoodies, and baggy jumpersâ
· Hats and capsâ
· Trainers, flip flops, and crock style (slider style cannot be worn outside of the Sports Academy areas)â
Sports Academies: Sixth Form students who are part of our Academies are permitted to wear their official branded tracksuits instead of the Sixth Form Dress code. Only Marsh Academy tracksuits can be worn. Mixing Marsh Academy Tracksuits with other branded wear is not permitted.â
Please note: this list is not exhaustive; it is designed to assist our students with making their clothing choices. The Academy reserves the right to deem certain items as ‘inappropriate’ for a professional school environment and can request a student to change into ‘more suitable’ attireâ.
