Extended Day

Extended Day activities run on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings from 3:15pm to 4:30pm. It is compulsory for Year 7 students to attend one of these activities per week, and we encourage students in other years to also participate. Activities available include Chess Club, Rugby, Drama Club, Squash, Cupcake Making and Homework/Coursework Clubs.

Transport home is provided on one evening per week for any Year 7 student who travels to school on a school coach or train; if they would like to take part in more than one activity per week, and for students in other years, parents and carers will need to make appropriate travel arrangements for this.

A programme of activities will be published during the first week of term and Extended Day will start in the week commencing 16th January 2012.

Transport will leave at 3pm as usual every day but for those Year 7 students who rely on school transport to get home the following arrangements have been made for extended day:

Lydd, Lydd-on-Sea, Dungeness
Tuesday – Coach will depart at 4.30 pm

Brenzett, Brookland, Old Romney, Ivychurch
Thursday – Mini-bus 1 will depart at 4.30 pm

Burmarsh, Newchurch, St Mary in the Marsh, Dymchurch
Thursday – Mini-bus 2 will depart at 4.30 pm

Students who need to use this transport have selected activities on the appropriate day.

Extended Day Cancellations

Extended day activities will be cancelled on Thursday 22nd March due to the Year 8 Options Evening being held on this day.
