Year 9 Motorcycle Maintenance
Tuesday 23 February 2010
Year 9 students are making good progress with the tasks set and we are currently working through our collection of motorcycles concentrating on the clutches. The task involves a range of activities from consideration of the Health and Safety issues through to dismantling the clutch and reassembly.
Once the clutch has been dismantled, students are accessing data and using digital callipers and digital micrometers to check to see if the individual clutch plates are at the correct thickness. Our next set of tasks will involve engine timing and work on valves and camshafts.
