Project Based Learning News
Tuesday 23 February 2010
Congratulations to those appointed into the Creative Partnerships teaching group this term. A class of Year 8 students have been learning in a creative manner thanks to a joint collaboration between the school and Future Creative.
This has seen students working with two local artists and activities have
included a trip to St Nicholas Church, the RH&D Railway and holding a coffee morning, interviewing guests and local historians about their memories of the Marsh. A big thank you to all of those who brought in cakes as this helped the morning to be a great success!
Projects next term;
Year 7 – can you beat the Dragons? A Business and Enterprise driven unit where students invent, design and pitch an environmentally friendly product to our panel of Dragons.
Year 8 - Who has the power? A project seeing students investigate the ideas behind power and democracy.
Just a reminder, laptops must be brought charged and ready to use to all PBL lessons.
