The Marsh Academy at Bowles Activity Centre
Wednesday 29 July 2009
At the end of May, students from Post 16 returned to Bowles to complete their second weekend expedition, this time using water based activities.
This took the form of a canoeing expedition in which the team had to canoe for seven miles on the first day and a further four the next, with an overnight stay camping by the riverside.
The two instructors were very impressed with the students' abilities in the canoe, although the art of putting up tents did allow for some comical moments. There were a few aching bodies after the weekend but all in all an outstanding effort from all involved.

All Students took a very active part in the days activities and really grasped the teamwork required to achieve the tasks and problems set throughout the day. The instructors commented on how well the students behaved and worked to achieve the tasks set.
