My name is Sophie. I am a reasonably successful student and a very successful golfer who attends Marsh Academy. I am considering applying for a sports scholarship to go to college in America.

I have sent off a student assessment form including my details such as academic and sporting achievements, and have had a letter back saying that based on my golfing ability I should qualify, I just need to get good grades! If I am successful it would mean going to an American College to study for a university degree with a major emphasis on golf, at the age of 18, after my A levels. I would be following in the footsteps of many famous British golfers who have been to American colleges. These golfers include Luke Donald and Karen Stupples who are now very successful in their chosen field. Anything is possible if you want it to be!
