BTEC Construction & Engineering Years 9 & 10

NuSteel have sponsored Engineering by supplying steel to build dirt buggies. We are now hoping that five identical motorbike 125-250 cc engines, knobbly dirt track wheels and bucket seats will be donated. Year 11 will be starting to build their buggies
from January. Construction This is quite a large group of keen, enthusiastic young students.

During the final term in Construction, they have already completed several Units out of the eight they have to pass for their certificate. They have worked very hard to achieve this which is a very good start to their construction skills. Arron Blakey has just been awarded the Young Achiever of the Year 2007-08 by Kent County Council for City & Guilds Construction.
