Business & Enterprise Week November 2008

The Marsh Academy celebrated National Enterprise Week for the first time this year, with each year group competing to produce the most creative and enterprise idea. It was a fantastic week starting with the Year 10 who entered the National Make your Mark Challenge Competition. This was a new adventure for the school and we are proud to announce that the finalists were selected from 51 other school finalists to present their idea at the South Eastern Finals.
The rest of the week was equally successful with a variety of events. Ranging from an outstanding Fashion Show to a Finance Awareness Day for Year 11 /13, where students were given the opportunity to use their enterprise skills to the full. Thank you to all the staff and parents who contributed, we are looking forward to the next event.
Young Enterprise has come to the Marsh Academy! A group of students have been working with the nationally recognised Young Enterprise Organisation on running a small enterprise group at the Marsh Academy. We will be producing a range of items for sale over the coming months – starting with our Academy Calendar which will be on sale on the last day of term, or at the very start of next term. We are endeavouring to produce a calendar which will be useful to you, as it is arranged in six terms not month by month, informative about what is happening when and also entertaining as it is interactive, including two competitions to check just how observant you are! Please be ready for our launch and for our future projects!
